Another from Faith Squared
I was having a conversation with one of my favorite angels, Mary Magdelene (whose name, I recently learned, means “tower”, “fortress”, “elevated” and also “magnificent”) and these words came:
I am at rest
I am a woman disturbed
I am confident and confused
I am comfortable between worlds
I am capable
I am tenacious
I hear voices to my heart
I know my voice and my song
I am a conduit for the dead
A teacher to the living
I know
I see far and deep
I am well provided for
I am one with my surroundings
And know my place among the stars
My breath is free and my body mighty
The rocks and the heavens comfort me
These are the foundations of my truth
In contemplating these words, the importance of being both/and shines brightly.
I remember that there is a strength that comes from being flexible and also from being rigid.
Power can come through force and also through peace.
One can learn from the dead and from the living.
It is important to be a tower for seeing over long distances and it is just as important to pay attention to the ground where you are planted – both provide their own kind of magnificence.
Do you have conversations with favorite angels? Do tell….what do you hear?
