Have you had one of those days when everything is in the wrong place and you spend a long time just looking for things?
I used to have that experience All. The. Time.
But then…..I decided to take control!
I cleared out cupboards, closets, the garage. Basically every spot in my house. No drawer un-turned.
And you know what happened?
Nothing. Nope, I still spent an inordinate amount of time looking for things.
So then……..I decided to take even more control!
I created mantras to clear space, I visualized clear space, I talked about clear space, I journaled about clear space, I added photos to my vision boards about clear space.
And you know what happened?
Nothing. Nope, still spending time looking for things.
Finally……I decided to cede control.
I stopped clearing things, I stopped visualizing clear spaces, I stopped.
Everything.
Then I waited and watched.
Know what happened?
My house stayed clear. Everything was magically where it belonged. I no longer wasted any time looking for things.
Now, if I need something, I go right to where it is supposed to be. If for some reason, it is not there, I say to myself – well I guess I did not need that today and go on about my day without said thing.
It is freeing and relaxing at the same time.
Now, I have time to remember that it’s Summertime and the livin is easy
I have moved past the maze of looking for things and into the labyrinth of ease.
The Labyrinth has just one way in and one way out – light, simple, restful.
So, my question to you….Are you in a maze or in a labyrinth? Are you willing to cede control? Where? When?
